Google in a position to dominate the mobile industry.

There are fears that Google can and will dominate the mobile space in upcoming years. Mobile companies are fearful that Google with its current 70 - 80% hold of the market in search and advertising realms can grow and completely dominate the space.

In a recent article in Billboard reporting on the events of the Mobile World Conference Chief Exec of Vodafone Group Plc expressed fears of many when he said Google Inc should not be allowed to dominate the mobile space.

I guess from articles I've read that there is a bandwidth crunch or capacity crunch and smart phones as they are can't handle it. Google wants the mobile companies to adapt to them instead of meeting in the middle.

Google wants the mobile companies to invest enormous amounts of money at great risk and in return Google will continue to build powerful new resources to upgrade the connections.

Whoever wins in this battle doesn't really matter as long as it continues to move forward. Web video, viral marketing, iPhone apps all things Tate Music Group offers our artists is around because of this technology. As long as it continues to grow artists will have new and streamlined ways to market their product and themselves to a growing fan base.
